Vivo V60 Review – A Great Camera Phone with Balanced Performance, Only 3699!

More than half of India still buys smartphones from offline stores. And when we talk about offline markets, Vivo is one of the biggest names. The new Vivo V60 is here, and it is the latest in Vivo’s offline-focused V series. This series is known for its stylish designs, strong camera setup, and decent performance.

Vivo also has other series – the T series for online buyers and the FE series for compact phones – but the V series balances good cameras with a premium look. The V60 continues this trend, and Vivo has added some exciting new features this time.

Unboxing Experience

Inside the Vivo V60 box, you will find:

The phone itself

A premium quality case (color matched to the phone)

Pre-applied screen protector

90W fast charger

Type-A to Type-C cable

SIM ejector tool

Basic paperwork

Unlike some brands, Vivo still includes a charger in the box, which is great.

Design and Build Quality – Premium Look, Slim Feel

The Vivo V60 is available in three colors:

Auspicious Gold – premium frosted glass back with a subtle shine

Moonlit Blue – also glass back

Mist Grey – polycarbonate back

The phone weighs about 203g and is only 7.5 mm thick, which is impressive considering it packs a huge 6,500 mAh battery. The frame is plastic, but the in-hand feel is solid and comfortable.

On the durability side, the phone uses Shot Diamond Shield Glass for protection, which is scratch-resistant. It also has IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it can survive dust, splashes, and even underwater submersion (up to 1.5 meters for 2 hours – a rare claim in smartphones).

Display – Bright, Curved, and Colorful

The Vivo V60 comes with a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display.

Resolution: Full HD+

Refresh rate: 120Hz

Brightness: 1500 nits in normal mode, up to 5000 nits in HDR mode

PWM Dimming: 2160Hz for eye comfort

HDR support on YouTube and Netflix

The colors are vibrant, sharpness is excellent, and visibility in sunlight is much better than its predecessor (V50). Stereo speakers are loud and clear, but the haptics could have been stronger.

Performance – New Snapdragon 7 Gen 4

For the first time in the V series, Vivo has moved from Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 to Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.

Variants available:

8GB + 128GB

8GB + 256GB

12GB + 256GB

16GB + 512GB

Storage type is UFS 2.2 and RAM is LPDDR4x – not the fastest in the market, but good enough for most users.

Benchmarks & Gaming:

Antutu score: ~9.7 to 9.8 lakh (higher variants may cross 1 million)

CPU throttling: No heating issues, stable performance

Gaming:

BGMI at 60fps (may get 90fps update later)

COD Mobile at 90fps

Genshin Impact: ~51 fps at high settings

Performance is smooth for everyday use – multitasking, social media, and casual gaming run without problems. Heavy gaming is possible but not the main focus of this phone.

Battery and Charging

The 6,500 mAh lithium-ion battery easily lasts 1.5 days with normal usage (social media, calls, casual games, music).

With the 90W charger included in the box, the phone charges from 0% to 100% in about 52–60 minutes.

Cameras – Flagship Features in Midrange Price

The biggest highlight of the Vivo V60 is its triple rear camera setup with Zeiss collaboration.

50MP Sony IMX 766 main sensor

50MP Sony IMX 882 telephoto (3x optical zoom, same as Vivo’s flagship X200)

8MP ultra-wide

50MP Samsung JN1 Front Camera

Zeiss Natural Color Mode – true-to-life tones

Zeiss Vivid Mode – more punchy colors

Portrait Modes – multiple focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm

Why you should buy it:

Excellent camera quality (best under ₹40,000 for photos)

Premium design and build

Bright, curved AMOLED display

Long battery life + super-fast charging

Good performance for daily use

Why you might skip it:

Not the best for heavy gaming

Ultra-wide camera could be better

No 4K 60fps recording

Advice from "Curious Advisor"

If you are someone who loves clicking photos, recording videos, and sharing them instantly, the Vivo V60 is made for you. Its Zeiss-powered triple camera setup easily beats most phones in this price range when it comes to portraits and natural colors. Vivo V60 is one of the best choices under ₹40,000.

However, if heavy gaming is your main priority, there are other options that offer stronger performance for the same budget. The V60 is more about style, camera quality, and everyday smoothness rather than raw gaming power.
