Is Attachment Really Love? J. Krishnamurti Explains True Love!
Most people think they know what love is. We say, “I love my family, I love my country, I love God.” But if we look carefully, what we call love often hides desire, attachment, and dependence.
For example, in relationships, we say we love another person, but in reality, we depend on them for comfort, for pleasure, or for security. When there is jealousy, control, or fear of losing, it is not love. It is attachment.
Krishnamurti says real love is completely different. Love is not desire, not possession, not attachment. True love is free from fear and expectation. It does not demand anything in return.
Love cannot exist when there is division or dependence. When the mind is caught in images, memories, or judgments about a person, love becomes polluted. Real love happens only when the mind is free, free from fear, free from self-interest, free from the urge to dominate or hold.
True love is like a flame that burns brightly without smoke. It is pure, without motive. Such love brings compassion, care, and joy.
A world without real love becomes violent and empty. But when love flowers in the heart, life becomes simple, rich, and full of meaning.
